Republican-controlled Pa Senate votes to confirm man in a dress to lecture Pennsylvanians on mental health

On March 20, 2018, the Republican-controlled Pennsylvania Senate voted to confirm “Rachel” Levine, a man in a dress, as Pennsylvania Secretary of Health. Levine is described at the Governor’s website as an expert in psychiatry and pediatrics. Now we can anticipate the citizens of Pennsylvania being lectured on mental health by a woman in a dress.

All the senators but John Eichelberger voted in favor of the confirmation. However, Senator Eichelberger did vote in favor of the confirmation of Levine as Physician General in 2015.  Has Senator Eichelberger had a change of conscience or was this vote just a political calculation, now that he is running for the office of U.S. Representative?
