Joyce Votes To Protect The Rights Of Law Abiding Gun Owners | Representative John Joyce
Congressman John Joyce (PA-13) today opposed H.R. 8, a measure that would require an unprecedented expansion in background checks for all firearm sales. Later this week he will vote against H.R. 1112, additional legislation to make it harder to obtain a firearm from private retailers – Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs).

Another note to my Bucks County friends – Brian Fitzpatrick voted in favor of the universal background check bill. Under this bill, you would not be able to transfer a firearm to a member of your immediate family without a federally licensed firearm dealer first taking possession of the firearm. I am grateful Representative Joyce voted against this: Text – H.R.8 – 116th Congress (2019-2020): Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019 | Congress.gov | Library of Congress
House poised to pass first major gun bill in a generation
Legislation to strengthen background checks is expected to face stiff opposition in the Senate.
